? re IVF - how many times and what were you told before BFP?

RE told DH and I today that if after the next IVF we have the same results (7 eggs of poor quality and not of transfer candidacy) we should switch to egg donation.  I feel like RE is giving up!  I know my egg quality sucks but to say 'well, we would recommend you change approaches b/c we don't think you'll EVER make a good egg' was so hard to hear!  Were any of you told no chance or to switch approaches, but kept at it and then get PG via IVF?

    I'm sorry your cycle didn't go well but I really hope the next one does it for you!!  Good luck!

    After 4 IVF's, our RE said that we could try again w/ him but that he doesn't have anything else to "try" w/ us.  He recommended going to Cornell in NYC.  We did and we had success.

    It took us 5 IVFs (4 fresh, 1 frozen) to finally find that lucky embryo.  I had just about given up hope.  I hope your next cycle brings you better results!  And it can't hurt to get a second opinion!
