Selling breast pump on Craigslist ... just curious

I'm thinking about posting my Medela PISA on Craigslist and am just curious if anyone else has done this with any luck. If so, what did you sell yours for?

Obviously I can just post it and see what happens, I'm just curious to hear what other experiences have been like.

I have been told several times that unless the pump is rented from the hospital that it is strictly a one person use.  But, I too am curious because I would like to get some money back but I would not want to be part of the reason someones child gets sick.

funny, i was just looking on CL yesterday to see what other pumps were being sold and for what price. There are quite a few, I was mainly looking at Freestyle since that's the one I have. Dr/LC's tell you it's made for one person, but I think as long as the new owner replaces all the piping/hoses there's very little chance of disease. The concern is that milk can flow back into the unit, but I'm not sure how disease would survive for days/months, especially if the unit isn't being used for a long period of time. It's ultimately up to the user to decide, but being that I paid $300+ and don't intend to have another child it would be nice to sell it.

I've heard this too but have had friends use someone else's pump and it hasn't been an issue.  I'm just not sure if a stranger would actually be willing to use my pump.  Hmmm .... guess I'll just have to see what happens.

I haven't sold that one, but I did have another brand snatched up on Ebay with no problem.
