I am a working mom (well, soon-to-be working mom...I'm a teacher) living in Roswell. I have a beautiful almost 3 month old little boy who is just awesome!
I have been poking around looking for a "moms group" kind of thing so that I could meet some new people but everything I have found is for stay-at-home moms. I am looking more for a group where just the moms get together to go out and do stuff or that get together with their kids on the weekends, things like that. I just need some more adult interaction since I teach kindergarten AND have a baby at home. I am constantly around kids!! I love 'em but I need to talk about something other than pee and poop and how to tie shoes and share crayons, lol.
Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks!
Re: Any Local Moms Groups Out There For Working Moms?
It's definitely hard when you are a working mom to find groups because we can't meet during the weekday and then evenings and weekends end up being so precious, people don't often want to get together routinely.
I'm a teacher as well (love being a temporary stay at home mom during the summer!!) and love to take my daughter to the pool and the aquarium and when I can hang out with my stay at home mommy friends and their little ones. I'm in the Chamblee/Tucker area. I don't know of any groups per se but you ever want to get together to go somewhere or if you want some girl only time after the little ones go to bed let me know. We could always meet by Perimeter since it's an in between
