Summer Virus

I don't know where DS might have picked it up (I guess it could have been a shopping cart, but I'm good about using wipes) but we've just fought a 4 day battle with a "summer virus" (I think we are finally better today). He had none of the usual signs of illness (no runny nose or congestion, no red swollen throat, no ear infection), he only had a high fever. He was clearly MISERABLE. Couldn't make him happy. He just cried and cuddled me all day. Noone else was good enough, he just wanted mommy. Even mommy wasn't good enough half of the time, as he would continue to scream when I was holding him. It was awful. Yesterday was my worst day of parenting yet. It's so hard when you know they are uncomfortable, but you can't fix it. We could only rotate tylenol and motrin to keep the fever down. 

FYI. it's out there.

Did you go to the Dr? My daughter just had a nasty virus too, it's going around. Fever, irritability, and yellow lesions in her throat : (
