I went to see my endocrinologist today and she told me she has Lukemia and she will no longer be seeing patients. The other Dr in the practice doesn't take my insurance and the other 2 doctors that they are refering people to don't take pregnant women on insulin pumps. So, Here I am asking for help. I live in the West Houston area. I am willing to Drive as far as the downtown medical center if I have to. Please recomend someone if you know of anyone. Thanks for your help!
Re: Help! I need an endocrinologist!
Are you being followed by an MFM?? He/she might be able to refer you to someone. I just called my MFM (works at Methodist) to see who they recommend. They aren't answering. I know they have several patients on insulin pumps. If I can't get ahold of them today, I will ask tomorrow at my appointment. I just don't know anyone on the west side of Houston.
Let me see what I can find and I will PM you - either today or tomorrow!
Thank you so much for your help!
I am seeing DR. Reiter, MFM at Houston Perinatal Associates. I have a call in to them but haven't heard anything back yet. I'm so worried that I won't be able to find someone that will take me. I'm new at this pump thing, I've only had it since April. Thanks again for your help!
