Where the heck am I going to have it? I am so behind this year. The party is in one month and I have no idea where it will be. I am hoping for August 7, but at this rate, everything will be booked.
I don't want to have it at home because August + Texas = miserably hot (as those who were at the first one can attest).
Re: Screwed - Avery's Birthday Party
Have you checked Wonderwild? I know people who have booked only a month in advance.
Also, in that same corp park there is a place called Discovery Gymnastics. I have been to 3 or 4 parties there and one friend I know was able to book hers like 2 weeks before the party. You can bring all your own food (and beer, I think) and the kids always like it.
Noah's Ark is super fun!
And super booked except for the 6:30 - 8:30 time slot. I have been stalking their site hoping for an opening at a better time several times a day for the last few months.
Right now I am debating Stomping Grounds and a gymnastics place.

Little Gym? We have a party to go there on a Sunday at 5pm, which was the spot she could get, but works out great because most people can come.
Good luck!
So Tasty, So Yummy
6:30-8:30 would be ideal, in my opinion....as it isn't nearly that hot that late in the day. And my child is a night-owl, so it isn't like that late a time-frame would be imposing on her bedtime, though I can understand it would for many.
Dern it. I read this as there were options available on the 8th. That date is booked.
I polled a few months ago about a 6:30 - 8:30 party and almost everyone said it interferred with bed time. Boo.
I am going to check out the Little Gym.

We've been to LG parties and it was a lot of fun. Honestly, I like LG parties better than Gymboree for birthday parties.
What about that place on Westheimer we went to with the bouncy stuff?
monkey joes. those people who own it are the biggest f'n idiots i've ever come in contact with.
children's place parties are a lot of fun. there's also the other monkey place, monkey around or something? harmony, ask allison i think she had maggie's party there.
Monkey Bizness?? https://www.monkeybizness.com/??
that's it!
We had J's 3rd birthday at Monkey Bizness. It was great. Everyone was very helpful. They do book up quickly.
Just wanted to add that for a small fee you can use our backyard.
I feel your pain on waiting. R took forever to figure out where he wanted J's party.
We did a swim party for Sarah's 4th b-day from 5 to 8 pm. We didn't start swimming 'til 6. It worked really well.
I'm curious to get a review from you after this. I went to one there last year and it was a nightmare. My friend who threw the party (her son was turning 2 then) said she'll never rec it to anyone. It seems like it would be great but there were a lot of logistical issues in actually getting to the party. Curious to see if the museum has worked any of that out...
