Oregon Babies

I want to know how all the babies are growing!

We have so many babies in the 4-5 month range, and I was just curious at the stages they are at. I have a few friends with babies in the same age range and I see that even a couple of weeks presents alot of difference in their strength.

Raleigh just rolled over from her stomach to her back this weekend. She's   4 1/2 months now. She's also figuring out that she can reach her toes. Pretty sure within the next week she will start to try and eat them :) She had her four month appointment a couple weeks back and seems to be pretty much in the middle for average weight and height. The Dr. said we can start her on rice cereal and mashed foods. Not a fan of the rice cereal but she will devour sweet potatoes and apples.

Update us all on how everyone elses sweet babies are doing!

  • Oskar is 4.5 months old now as well!

No rolling yet, and he's not playing with his toes. He teases us with both of those daily... he's so close! We like to joke that his belly gets in the way of both those milestones. He's in the 90% for weight at 17lbs, and only 50% for height. This causes quite the roll buildup!

He is VERY vocal and has been since he was about a month old. We have gotten giggles and lots of yelling. He has an infamous "growl" that seems to be everybody's favorite.

We started Oat cereal last week because he's down to about 6, 4 oz bottles a day and so he needed a bit more. He has never eaten more than 4 ounces at a time for some reason. ***Not that he's wasting away OBVIOUSLY... but the pedi thought it would be a good idea.

Overall very healthy and super happy! We're slowing getting throught the 4 month wakeful. The last few days have been promising!

    Your LO is super cute!

  • Macie is just over 4 months now and her personality has really started to shine!

She can roll from back to belly but not the other way.  It is quite funny to watch because she grunts while she does it.  At her 4 month appointment she was in the 97% for height at just over 26 inches and 95% for weight at 17 pounds. we have a very big baby :)

In the past two weeks she has become very vocal and loves to talk to herself it is really funny.   Just for fun we tried rice cereal one night but she wasn't interested so we are going to hold off until 6 months.

We should plan a get together this summer.  I have a pool at our condo or we could do a park trip.  Hope everyone is enjoying the sun!!!

  • Wren was 5 months on July 1st.  She is on the smaller end compared to all of your babies!  She is just over 14lbs and a month ago she was 26 inches.  She was a super early roller....she rolled from belly to back at just under 2 months and has been rolling from back to belly since 3 1/2 months (it seems like smaller babies roll faster).  She doesn't seem anywhere close to sitting up yet though.  She did get up on her hands and knees last night!

She is also getting really vocal and testing out her voice!

So fun to see how everyone is doing!

Too bad I don't know how to put some more updated photos on here....

  • Morgan will be 5 months on Tuesday and is growing like a weed.  She's still long and skinny and was just at 14lbs and 26inches at her 4 month appt.  She's been rolling from back to front and front to back since about 3 1/2 months and rolls all over the dang house now! She found her feet a while ago and won't leave them alone.. We thought she was teething, because she kept trying to eat her hands and was really drooling a lot.. But apparently that was due to the reflux.. No teeth yet..

She's VERY talkative, but not horribly loud.. She's starting to laugh and giggle a lot more and is always ALL smiles.. We're still battling her reflux but the puking has gotten a *LOT* better since we started Prevacid a week and a half ago..

We've done a teensy bit of solids, so far she LOVES bananas, sorta likes sweet potatoes and squash and she could do without peas, which sucks because I bought 4 jars of it.. so she better get used to it ;)  Oh and DH let her suck on his cherry popsicle last night and she thought that was the yummiest thing EVER!

We should have a baby get together soon! :)
