How to get the poop smell out

I swear this is so much worse than CD'ing.  I can not get the poop smell out of DS' underwear.  And when he poops, it's really solid and dumps right out, leaving almost nothing in his underwear.  But the smell just won't go away.  How in the world I could wash poop out of CDs with no problems and can't handle a tiny pair of underwear is beyond me.  I don't know if it's the material or what, but it's driving me crazy!  Any tricks?  I can't stand to throw them away, especially since that would be a pair a day at this point.  I've tried adding vinegar to the wash (whick works for CDs) but it didn't help.

Honestly the couple times she pooped in her underwear, I just put the panties in the garbage can.  I wasn't dealing with washing them.  Sorry, not much help here.
