formula after neosure??

My babies have been on similac neosure since birth.  Our pedi said we could take them off of it and switch to any other formula of our choice.  I have no idea which one to try next!  There are way too many out there!  Any suggestions?

Background...DD takes the ready to feed neosure because I find that it's less airy than the powder and DD tends to be fussy and have gas.  DS takes the neosure powder because I dont see much gas with him, but he is becoming more fussy by the day :(

I have no problem continuing the ready to feed for DD and keeping DS on a powder but would like to put them at least on the same brand/type if possible.

Help!

congrats on being done w/neosure.  it's expensive, and the ready to eat is even more expensive!

our ped recommended the Goodstart powder for us.  it has DHA, which according to our ped is supposed to be great for preemies.  it mixes way better than neosure does, and is much more gentle on their digestive systems.

have no idea if there's a ready to eat version, but with the change to something more gentle you may not need it.

  • After Neosure we used Target Generic brand. The nutritionist at our hosptial said it was equally as good as anything else out there and it saves a TON of money. I bought some formula pitchers and pre-mixed batches so that by the time I served it the bubbles were gone and it was like ready to feed.

Congrats on being done with neosure! :)

  • After NeoSure, we went to Enfamil GentleEase, which is for gassy or fussy babies. Our son loves it. The pedi says we can get the Target or Walmart generic version, but we've been just doing the Enfamil anyway.

  • We got done with neosure and moved onto parents choice sensitive because the boys both had colic.

We then moved from PC to nutramigen until about 10 months old.  We tried switching them a few times but each time we would slowly introduce a new formula, they would have horrible stomach aches and the worst, most explosive diarrhea.  Finally, at 10 months we made the switch back to PC sensitive and it was fine.

  • We used neosure until 5 months.  We then swtiched to Sim advance but after a few weeks we switched to Kirkland Costco barnd cuz it's so much cheaper.  So far no problems and we are saving a lot of money by doing generic.....but everything is cheaper than Neosure!
  • I still have on on neosure, but the other one is on Similac advanced.
