For those that remember my rant about the car seat inspection 2 weeks ago, it's still ongoing. As I left it, I had the first available appointment at the state police barracks on 7/12 but was hoping for something sooner. I spoke to another guy who said he was on vacation until today, but I should call him today to set up an appointment for this week. I call this morning and someone takes a message for him saying he was in a meeting. Since I didn't hear back from him, I called back just now (4 hours later) and the person answering the phone puts me on hold, then comes back saying that he won't be doing inspections this week due to the heat. Call back next week. Seriously?! I understand that it's 105 out there, but you just aren't doing your job this week because of it? After you were on vacation all of last week? I mean come on, we'll have the AC on in the car. Needless to say, now we're just going to keep the appointment on 7/12. I hope this baby isn't waiting to show up until after the car seat has been inspected.
Re: car seat debacle continues
I just happened to get on here today and noticed all of the trouble you were having with getting your car seat inspected. I got a letter from York Hospital about a program that is called Safe Kids York County that inspects car seats. I just did a search and it looks like there is Safe Kids Chapter for a lot (but not all) of the counties in PA. I'm not sure which county you live in around Philly but it might be worth a shot. Here is the link I found with all of the county info. https://www.pasafekids.org/coalitions.php
That's crazy.
I tried surrounding areas that are convenient to us. In fact the guy that can't work in the heat was in another county. Apparently PA is just a PITA about this crap.
