I am at 24 weeks & having the hardest time picking out names. DH & I cant agree that we disagree on anything.

The name he has always wanted is Hayden so if at all possible I would like to try to use it as a middle name but also may not use it. The last name is long starting with a D so we would like to keep the first name at or under 6 characters.

So far we both like Maddox & Zander, we can't or won't use Zander because that's DH's moms boyfriends last name. I dont want her thinking we named him after him. (he is a bit strange) Which I love Zander & was so stuck on it until I found out it was his last name now I am having a hard time finding anything I love! Maddox I like but don't love, I could live with it.. but I dont wanna settle if we can agree on something we both come to love!

Can you give suggestions of some unique boy names? That could use Hayden as the middle name, or even that wouldn't go with Hayden as a middle name.

Could you name him Alexander and call him Zander. I know some people do that. Then it wouldn't be like naming him after your MIL's boyfriend.

Some other boy names I like are Emerson, Landon, and Gavin. I'm not sure if any of those are your style.

My brother-in-law, who is 6 years old, is named Alexandre (french spelling) and goes by Xandre (pronounced Zander). You could name him Alexander and have him go by Xander.

Anyways, I don't like the name Hayden at all, so I'm not sure what names to suggest to go with it. 

Our son's name is Braden Michael and on our list for future boy names we have Asher, Noah, and Elijah (Eli).

What about Xavier?  It's very close to Zander, but different enough that he wouldn't be able to say that the baby was named after him.

Xavier Hayden sounds good together too.

I really like Zander/Xander...I think there were some good suggestions for a compromise on that name. Maddox is trendy - too celebrity for me to get on board. Hayden is okay, but not my style. Other H names...

Holden, Harrison, Hudson, Henry

And honestly, I'd just go to the Social Security website, print off two of the top 1000 baby names, and start crossing off and circling. The bigger the number, the less common (although cre8ive spellings don't really count).
