Pregnant after a Loss

How do you keep from dehydrating at night?

I drink about 10 glasses of water per day plus milk etc...little caffiene if any.

I notice every morning when I get up (especially the past three weeks) my mouth is super dry and I can tell by my urine I am dehydrated. I drink up until I go to bed, and I have been waking up in the middle of the night so thirsty and will drink about half a glass.

I was wondering if this is just part of pregnancy or should I drink more before I go to bed?

The baby still kicks a lot in the morning.

  • I always have a big jug of ice water next to me.

  • I notice this too, but I figured part of my problem was occasionally sleeping with my mouth open (bad habit).  I have been drinking a lot of water (most days) and usually keep a bottle of water next to me, but it still happens.

  • I keep a mug of ice water on my bedside table.  If I wake up, I drink a sip.  If I get up to pee, I drink even more.

I thought that maybe the whole drinking at night was, in turn, causing me to pee 100x a night, but even when I cut out the water I still peed all night, lol.  So, I try and drink as much as I can at night.  It really makes me feel better in the morning.

This.  I keep a big Nalgene full of ice water.  There's usually half left in the morning.

  • I wake up totally parched too...like I haven't had a drink in 2 weeks.  I keep water by the bed, but I try not to drink too much before bed thinking then I won't wake up to pee.  But maybe it doesn't matter as pp said, so I might as well drink and not wake up parched!
