Yay! We are finally finished with the nursery....woo-hoo! Just in the nick of time, too (my goal was before I was full-term, which is today). Really, it was basically finished for a while now, but we wanted to add some animal pictures to the walls (the walls seemed a little bare, except for the circles at the top). So we took two treks to two different zoos in the past few weeks, with MH taking photos. We made collages of six different animals. He finally got them edited and printed this past week, and I hung them this morning.
Also, we were waiting for our glider (which, technically, we still don't have). Ours arrived damaged from shipping, and since it was custom-ordered, it will take a while for the new one to arrive. Buy Buy Baby was awesome, though, and delivered and set up a "loaner" chair for us in the meantime. It's not as nice as the one we bought, but it's something for now! Our looks very much the same, but the wood is a little darker than this one, and the fabric is slightly different, though the same color. It also had a higher/more squared off back. Our real one should arrive sometime in the next month or so, so this is the loaner for now.
Obviously, the bumpers and stuff in the crib have to go, but they came as a set, so I put them in there for the meantime.

It does feel real.....just waiting for him now!
Each photo collage is a different animal. There is a lion, monkey, zebra, giraffe, tiger, and elephant. Each one has a whole body (or at least a good face) shot of the animal. Then the smaller frames are close-up "parts" of that animal.....like an eye, foot, tail, ear, etc.
I just took this with my phone, so the pic is kind of crappy, but you get the idea......

it's adorable!! you did such a great job with it. i love the photo collages, even more so since you guys did it yourselves instead of going out and buying them. he is going to love it!
oh and btw - i put up our bumpers to get pics of our nursery w/the intention to take them off when she was born but they are still on there to this day. when she was 1st born she would just lay there in her swaddle and couldn't move anywhere so the bumpers weren't a SIDS risk b/c she couldn't even get near them. and then by the time she was mobile to where she could get her face near one, she was strong enough to turn her head, lift it, etc and so i wasn't really worried about her smooshing her face up against a bumper....so, they are still there!
