I like Mae (after my nana...Anna Mae.) But DH isn't sold yet, he's not even sure about Anna (I love it though and I'm hoping he'll come around.) What middle names go well with Anna?
I love the name Anna. Its on my list too However, Anna Mae sounds a little to Southern or country for my taste. But I'm from the North and I see you are in VA, so you may be going for a more traditional Southern sound.
Suggestions... Anna Catherine, Anna Claire, Anna Grace, Anna Rose.
ETA: Oops, scratch Catherine with your DD's name.
I give up trying to get a ticker. I have a DD that is 2.5 years old and is awesome. Maybe I'll add a quote to distinguish myself. Hmmm. How about...
"It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?" - A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh
LOVE Anna. So pretty and so classic. Possibly a little too old fashioned, but my grandma was Anna Dorothy. I always thought is was pretty. DH's grandma was Anna Elizabeth.
I like Anna. Anna Mae sounds kind of Southerm imo. I like Anna Katherine.
What if she is southern? If not, is 'southern' a bad thing? I live in the south and Anna Katherine is actually really popular down here, so if you don't like 'southern', you may want to stay away from Anna Katherine.
OP, when I hear Anna Mae, I think "Anime", which is a japanese type of cartoon that some of my middle schoolers are into.
Ditto on all of this! When you say it out loud, you hear "anime". What was /is your grandmother's middle name? Could you use that? Anna is on our list as well, and we will use Anna Claire (after my grandmother and great-grandmother). Here are some others:
Anna Louise
Anna Charlotte
Anna Juliet
Anna Margaret
Anna Caroline

I like Anna Mae but it reminds me of the Japanese animation Anime. I think Anna is a beautiful name.
Oooh, I thought it was beautiful, until I read this! I would always think anime now. How about Anna Marie, Anna Grace, Anna Lynn, Anna Claire? I mostly like 1 syllable middle names with Anna.
