Publix Birthday Cake

Anyone requested a specific cake from Publix.....not one they make? My son wants a backyardagains birthday party and with a new baby in the house, I really don't want to make a cake for his party! There are bakeries in my city, but they would cost triple what Publix charges. I love their pull-a-part cupcake cakes. I'm wondering if I just request a cake in certain colors if they would do it? I could buy the Backyardagans cake toppers I saw on birthdayexpress.com and just add them to the cake. Think Publix would do this?

The easiest route is to call Publix and ask them.

I worked in a Publix bakery years and years ago.  They will - they just won't put the licensed characters on, unless they are ones they're specifically paying for.

I would just see if they could do the specific colors and then put the cake toppers on it.  Of course, they might be able to do more if you ask them.

Will wants batman and spiderman on his cake.  Luckily I know someone who will do it for me, but seriously?  Isn't that some kind of superhero worlds colliding?

They do whatever you want as long as it doesn't involve liscensed characters. I had them make a polka dot cake for DS 1st birthday. I got to pick the icing colors, the border I wanted, everything.
