Pregnant after IF

to bikini or not to bikini?

We leave for Nantucket tonight. I bought two one piece suits for earlier in the pregnancy when my belly was looking soft, but not pregnant.

Now I look pregnant, but my tummy is still relatively small. My boobs are a little out of control.

I don't know if I should rock the two piece or just cover myself up while we're out there. I feel a little self conscious in my normal two pieces still. If I had a defined, round bump it would (maybe) be one thing. But since it's still a speed bump instead of a belly I feel weird.

WWYD?

I am not a fan of pregnant ladies in bikinis - no matter how good they look.  I just don't find anything about it remotely cute.

So, I say cover it up.

  • Looking at the pics in your blog, I think you could totally rock it..bring a cover up too

  • Im not a fan of the pg belly in a bikini either. It's just not my style so I would go with the one pieces.

  • Personally, I wouldn't, even if I were smaller, but if you will feel comfortable, I say rock on!

  • i actually like the pregnant in a bikini look--to me it's kind of a way of celebrating the bump. =) anyway, from the responses so far it seems like everyone has different views on this, so just wear whatever makes you feel beautiful and wear it with pride!

  • When I was pg with my daugther I wore one until around 8 weeks but you couldn't tell I was pg at all.  I would have covered up if I was showing because it's not my thing.

  • I'd bring one of each and see what you feel more comfortable in.

Of course, I did consider wearing a bikini at 37 weeks pregnant, mostly because I refused to buy a maternity suit! However, I'd have been wearing a shirt over it, too. I just couldn't find a regular bikini top that fits my boobs, and ended up in a tankini.
