Dumb question here, do you have to squeeze the air out of the bags before they start drinking?

The few times i've used these so far, the bags don't collapse as A drinks.

    We did when G was little, but we don't anymore.

    When we were using them I did squeeze the air out...but sometimes it ended up with the actual drop in being pushed up too far and formula on the floor.

    So I would just squeeze a little air out.
