I started taking the BC Seasonale this past March. Seasonale is the pill where you only get a period every 3 months...We are planning on starting to TTC early next year and I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a difference in the time it takes for my periods to regulate after stopping the Seasonale compared to just regular bc where you get a period every month. When should I stop taking it if I want to TTC by April or May... I will obviously be talking to my OB/GYN about it but just wondering if any of you ladies had any experiences with this BC...
Re: Newbie with a BC Question
I was on Seasonale and unfortunately, my periods never regulated.
Everyone is different, though. I would stop taking BCP at the first of the year if you plan on TTc in April. Be sure to use backup protection.
Good luck.
I agree with stopping at the first of the year. Expect it to take awhile to regulate! I was on "normal" BCP and it took me 3 months to regulate with a heavy 15 day long period in the mix.
It may help you to also begin charting your BBT temps using FerilityFriend.com as well at the beginning of the month so you will know what is going on with your body and be able to recoginze when you are ovulating as well.
Check it out by clicking the link on my siggy below. It is free. You may also want to lurk on the TTC boards to learn more as well.
