Pregnant after a Loss

How many registries do you have?

BRU is more expensive than say walmart or target...but I was thinking for the people I know that want to buy something and don't have that much money that I could make a seperate registry at could set oneup at the latter 2. Does that sound ok? I"m not expecting anyone to buy anything but incase they do and want to know what we need...ya know? But I also know people are just gonna buy what they want anyway.

And would it be rude to just register for gift cards instead(at like walmart)? We really just need money but there's some people you just don't tell that to...

And do you think it's to early for us to get started? I was thinking about waiting until we see the peri in 2wks but I just don't know if I'm being silly/paranoid still...

Thank you for any help!!

Re: How many registries do you have?

  • I have 2 for just that reason.  I have like 10-12 items on the registry at BRU and like all my others at Target.  Plus I like I lot more things at target than BRU.  so.....  I was going to do walmart again, but the stores differ to the ones back home where my fam is and walmart is all they have which is why I did it last time, but not as many things I would want compared to target.  Hence I'm really only looking for gift cards or diapers for my baby shower.

  • I have 2 -- Target & BRU. BRU was by far more extensive for me, but I picked some things (especially the Bright Starts swing) at Target.  My Target registry is nearly completed but BRU has only had about 20 items purchased. For layette type items, I would probably pick BRU because they have such great sales almost every time I'm in there.  The completion coupon at Target is also only 10% vs the 20% at BRU.  Good luck starting your registries!

  • Also, if you want to register online, you can register on Amazon. They have a universal registry button that will add anything from any website to the registry. We did this for our wedding registry, and it worked great!
  • Just 2 - PB Kids (very few items) and BRU (a ton of stuff).  It's so easy to get 20% off coupons at BRU, which is why I did this.

Yes it is.  I'd tell your mom or shower hostess to tell people that what you really need is gift cards and to where. I'm sure people will understand that since you're having twins.

I think you can start and set the registry to private?  That way if you feel its to early its just for you to see.

I have 2 - one at Target, one at BRU. Target is easier accessed by the majority of people invited to my showers, plus they're cheaper -- but they don't have everything, so I registered at BRU too.

  • I think having 2 is good idea. I have one at BRU and one at Target. Target and BRU had a box to check on the sign up form for if you want gift cards added. BRU also had a preselected comment that says gift cards welcome.
