Did you read The Babysitters Club books?

I was obsessed with them (and the Sweet Valley High books too.)

1. Do they still make them?

2. Who was your favorite? (Kristi, MaryAnne, Claudia, Dawn, Stacey, Mallory or Jessie?)

I always liked Claudia the best. I would always first skim through to the part where they said what kicky and artisitic outfit she was wearing b/c that was my favorite part- fashionwhore even at a young age I guess.

YES!!!  I loved them, and even read the spin off...Baby Sitter's little Sister's books!

Stacey was my favorite, followed closely by Claudia.   I loved hearing about her outfits too!  Kristy was too tomboyish for me, and Mary Ann was too goody for me.

My fave was Claudia as well. You can actually still find them at the library.

Oh gosh, I read them all... and remember waiting anxiously for each Super Special to come out! I also read the Little Sister series.

DD and I are reading The Kids of the Polk Street School series (another set I loved when I was younger) and when we're done, I think we're going to go through the BSC Little Sister books.

I have to say I always loved Kristy and MaryAnne equally.

I loved reading the BSC books!  I actually blame them for my poor vision.  I was so hooked, that after I went to bed, I would turn on the hall light and read in my bed.  There was barely any light to read, and I would strain to see the pages.  The next year, I had to get glasses! LOL!

My favorite was Stacey.

Omgee that is hilarious! Nobody ever picks Mallory as their favorite. When I would play with my little friends we would always pretend to be the different characters and nobody ever wanted to be Mallory!

I loved both! I read the SVH and SVT (when they were younger). I actually think all those books are still in my parents' basement being saved for me. I'm almost afraid to re-read them with DD; I bet they won't live up to my memories.

I loved them!  And most of the books are out of print now.

There's actually a newer one that is about the summer before they formed the club.  As soon as DD finished it, I swiped it and read it.
