Can I put Baking soda in my dishwasher...

My dishwasher has developed a smell.  I was wondering if I could mix Baking soda in with my detergent to get rid of the smell.

i dunno about baking soda, but white vinager will work and run a load with it

If you have your manual, I would check to see if there is a section on cleaning the dishwasher.  I just had to clean mine.  The manual said to use a 1/2 cup(if I remember correctly) of bleach on a normal wash while the dishwasher was empty.

Thanks for asking this!! Ours smells all the time and I can't stand it! We tried to run it using one of those dishwasher cleaners they sell at the food store, but it didn't work. I'm going to try the bleach and/or vinegar options...again, thanks for asking!

Roll up your sleeves ladies!!  The cage trap in the bottom probably needs cleaning.

The other day I became a handy woman. Our machine had standing water and stunk. I ended up having to take out 2  of the catches, clean them and throw some draino in to unclog it.

DH was away...   It was gross  but I feel accomplished. LOL :::flexes:::
