I've never been up there so I have no clue where to begin! I've heard it's beautiful, though. I'm going to look for a cottage to rent for a few days or a week. Any tips on which town to stay in or are they all fairly similar? We have a one-year-old, so will be doing a lot of walking around town, eating out, walking/hiking, visiting the beach, perhaps kayaking/boating. Any tips you can offer would be great - thanks!
Re: Visiting Door County - any tips?
My DH and I LOVE The Inn At Cedar Crossing Restaurant! It is amazing and below the Inn at Cedar Crossing. In Sturgeon Bay. There are also cute little art galleries and boutiques. The Inn (which is a b&b) serves the most amazing French Toast and you can get milk and cookies and coffee brought to your room.
My mouth is watering just thinking about the restaurant. The two times we went there my DH got ostrich and elk and I (both times) had the risotto. YUM!
Have fun
