mmmmm fresh strawberries

There's a dude on the corner near my parents house that has a 'fruit stand'

today i decided to stop by and look.

i got 6pints of strawberries for 2.00 each. They were HUGE.

now they're washed up, cored, and in my freezer.

so excited for fresh strawberry smoothies.

    When I was out in Cali, visiting mrsmayt (among other peeps) I bought a flat of strawberries for us and we ended up making KILLER daqs and playing drunk board games.  Too much fun. 

    Damn, now I want strawberries.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

    It's for sure strawberry season at my house.  So far I've made ice cream, jam, and chocolate covered strawberries.  And of course eating them plain or cut up in cereal.  Mmmm!

    Yummy!

    A new farm stand just opened near my work and they had soooo many melons - I wanted to get one but I've got some cantaloupe I need to eat.

    I did stop at another one over the weekend and got some awesome tomatoes.
