North Florida Babies

ob-gyn recommendations?

Hi, my DH and I just relocated to the Jacksonville area. We love it so far! I'm looking for a new ob-gyn and was hoping some of you ladies might have a recommendation of a good doctor that you see in the area. We're not TTC yet since we're still settling in but we plan to very soon and I really want to find a great ob-gyn. I prefer a female. Any suggestions? We're on the southside of Jax.

Thanks in advance!

Re: ob-gyn recommendations?

  • it depends on what is important to you. ie hospital preference, Drs feelings on your birth wishes.

If you are looking for a more natural birth, I loved the midwives at Fruitful Vine (birth center). A Place for Women is also great and is a traditional OB/Gyn practice. Sekiene and Rasner (and their midwives) have also been spoken of highly.

I know a lot of moms in the area that used North Florida OBGYN and had good experiences as well.

    GL!

  • I used FABEN and can't say enough good things about them. They are an all femal practice including a midwife and are in baptist downtown. They have a website and I think it is fabenobgyn.com.

  • Thanks for your responses, I really appreciate it!

Ejones, FABEN sounds great, exactly what I was looking for. Thank you! I think I'll be making an appointment with them.

  • I used Sekine Rasner and Brock and loved them. When I gave birth I went through their midwives and had a great experience. Seriously I recommend them to everyone. Well, everyone with lady bits. :)
  • I used the North Florida OB/GYN office at Baptist South, but they're mostly male, so no good for you.  I loved them though :)
