I am curious to hear how those of you who have been through labor would describe "real" contractions. I have been having BH contractions for a long while and am interested to hear learn what real ones feel like. How would you describe your earliest contractions and how would you describe the full fledged ones?
Re: What do "real" contractions feel like?
That's what I was going to say. Mine were 'false labor' so I'm not sure if it's going to be different when it's the real thing, but those felt like I had really really awful cramps like I had to poop really bad.
Jennifer, This is definitely what it feels like.
hmmm ... i know that feeling and it's not one of my favorites! haha. But I just keep getting random cramping and pains and am starting to overthink it wondering if its the start of contractions or not. I'm just getting so excited to meet this little man ... and to get the labor show on the road!
For me it felt like period cramps that started out really light and then progressively got worse and then slowly went away...When it was at the peak of a contraction it hurts like the worst period cramps you could ever imagine...
When it was time to push....it feels like you need to poop...a lot of pressure!!! I had the epideral still in me while I was pushing so I only felt pressure, not pain..
This is what keeps making me nervous. I've been getting what feel like light period cramps on and off for the past week or so. I don't know what they are but I always assume that real contractions are really going kill.
you will know when it time!
