So now that we know we are having a baby boy, we decided to go with a Fire Truck themed nursery (DH has been a fire fighter for 12 years).
I'm no annoyed that there aren't many options out there right now for this theme. I did find these two and wanted to get some opinions. The walls will be a light tan color regardless of which bedding we go with.
Do you ladies like #1 or #2 better? TIA!

Re: What do you think?
I like #1 a little better, but I would do some more research before making a final decision. You can probably find something out there you like a bit better.
Or I would do a solid red or blue sheets/bumper and throw in a cute fire truck quilt/blanket. You could do the bulk of your decorating in wall hangings and little accents. The bedding is a bit busy.
Or it would be really cute to have the bedding blanket be dalmation spots. )
I really like this idea, but if you are choosing between those two (which are both cute), I like #1 better. Good luck with your decision!
I like both but would pick #1. Like Juliet said, it's not as busy as the #2 one.
What type of wood is the furniture going to be?
I'm leaning towards a Cherry or Espresso finish to the furniture. I'm still going to do some more research, just through I'd get some opinions one what I have found so far! DH is no help at all- he could care less! (Typical guy!)
Either one would look really good with dark furniture. Light wood might not look right with tan walls and light colored bedding.
I definitely like number one better (both are cute though) I think it's easier on the eyes.
But what about some of these?

some of these things might be cute inspiration: https://www.luxurybabynursery.com/category_458/Fireman.htm
You could do a neutral wall colour and decorate with some vintage fire truck images like some pps mentioned...I've also seen really cute vintage fabric for kids that's got little firemen on them- like that vintage cowboy fabric and its killing me that I can't find it...But if you can't find something like that you could do a deep red or blue bedding set.
Found some stuff on etsy you might like:

You could maybe ask this person if they have firetruck fabric which is similar to these...and if they'll make blankets: https://www.etsy.com/shop/RockabillyBabyDesign?page=2

At least you'll know that there's some fabric out there as different options. Like I said in the last post, you could pick out a colour from one of those and buy a fitted crib sheet in that colour and then order a blanket with some of those fire truck fabrics.
