TTC After a Loss 6 Months+

Slight Breakdown at the OB

I had my annual yesterday and proceeded to break down into tears twice.  I wasn't full-on ugly face and snotting or anything, just tearful.  It's sad that place is just a reminder of bad events. Crying

I will say the PA who does my exam was awesome.  She actually read my file and knew about my miscarriages before she came in the room.  I swear, we spent about 20 minutes just talking.  Smile

In the end, doctor is putting me on progesterone after I O to see if we can get the incessant pre-AF spotting to stop.  And so begins the journey of TTC again and the mix of emotions that goes with it.  Tongue TiedBig SmileHmm

  • I am so sorry, honey. I'm glad there is a plan of action, moving forward.

  • It's hard to return to the place where you heard such bad news before.  I struggle with going into the same exam room that the doctor told me I was loosing my baby in.  It makes me cringe to even walk by the room!  I am glad they are giving you prog. to help with bleeding.  That worked well for me!!

  • I know what you mean. I get anxiety when they put me in the room to wait for the doctor everytime.

I'm glad you had a great PA that talked with you and read your chart, that always helps.

  • Sorry you had a rough day, but glad that the PA was nice (they're usually nicer than the doctors, it seems).

I almost found a new obgyn after my m/c just b/c I didn't want to go back to that place where so much awfulness had happened.

  • I'm so sorry.  I know how you feel.  There are always so many reminders of the sadness.  I am happy that you have a plan though.  Hoping this is a step in the right direction for you!!
  • What a great dr/PA to just talk and listen.  That goes a long way, in my book.  Good luck getting back on the horse - it's a roller coaster and I wish you all the best.  Sending big hugs and lots of support your way.
  • I'm sorry.  I hope the progesterone helps you though.  ((hugs))
