New Signature Picture (stepson)

I thought I should update my signature to have a picture of my stepson. He never used to let me take his picture but he was so proud of his new skater clothes that he let me take a bunch. 

I bought him those "slot glasses" and he loves them.  Admittedly, I remember when they were popular the first time around in the 80s so it amuses me that much more that he loves them.

Many of you know I can't chime in about babies so I don't post much here but if you want to know about pre-teen boys or psycho ex-wives, let me know!

I don't know how old your SS is but I my DD is going to be 9.  It's nice to have other parents around with "older" kids....I know there aren't many of us

Conner just turned 9 so he and your daughter are very close in age!  I have a 10 year old niece and a 9 year old nephew so the three of them pal around a lot and I've found that I actually like that age more than when they were younger.  Yes, they are developing attitudes but they can go to the bathroom on their own, they can order off a menu, you can actually have a quasi-intelligent conversation with them, you can sometimes reason with them...

We took the three of them to the pool and dinner one night and my sister was like, "Are you SURE?  That's a lot of pre-teen energy."  We had a blast.  It's sometimes easier for us when Conner has a buddy as opposed to being the only child he usually is at our house.

It is nice to know there are others with kids in that age range so hopefully we can share stories and tips!  You have your hands full with the twins and DD.  Totally different needs.

DS1 is 13 yrs old, we had a big gap due to IF issues but its nice to have an older child

I don't post much on here, but lurk a lot. I have a 10 year old step-son and an almost-8 year old step-daughter (who thinks she's 16!) so I can relate to the "older" child post. Oh, and I have the psycho ex-wife to deal with, too, so any time you want to commiserate, just let me know!

I saw these on your Facebook.  I think he looks so cute!  "Cute" probably isn't the look he is going for, but heck, I'm a mom so I'm allowed to say it.
