blow up pool question

if you have this type (or similar)

 do you have a hard time keeping air in it? we had one and within 30 min of blowing it up it looked deflated. and by that night it had almost completely deflated. the same happened with one that we returned thinking it had a leak. so now i'm wondering if dh is doing something wrong when he blows it up. anyone else having an issue?

we had a blue one one year and a green the next... every single summer the top ring would "deflate" over night... not right off, but within a few weeks...

so- we got the intex easy up 10x30 one this year... small and shallow enough for DS but a little more sturdy than that one....

i DID love how long it was though... seemed HUGE compared to the pools I had growing up.

We got one earlier in the summer and it stayed fully inflated for about 3 days before we drained it.
