Pregnant after IF

registries

I'm feeling pretty good these days and have some decent stamina. I'm thinking I should take advantage of this and start getting stuff done around the house and maybe even start thinking about our registry.

I don't think we'll have a big shower as our family is spread across the country, but I'd like to register for everything we need so we can take advantage of registry discounts, etc.

When did you start researching and registering for things?

Also, MoM's are there any good resources for unique multiples needs? I keep seeing things like twin pack n plays and such and I wonder if things like that are even necessary? I lurked on Multiples and saw someone's link to a blog's registry but it just seemed like A LOT of stuff. I was overwhelmed. Do we really need ALL of that? OMG.

I started researching pretty early on - and, I added some of the bigger things to an on-line registry at BRU around 8-9 weeks.  I would add things on there as I thought of them.

I didn't actually go into the store and register until 20-21 weeks.

Just remember, the completion coupons aren't mailed out until 2 weeks before your EDD - so you may want to put your EDD as bit earlier than it really is when starting the registry.

Did you read this one?  It is alot of stuff.  I'm using this list to start, but cutting back wherever possible.

omega! this is the registry. I was so overwhelmed by it. Not all of it seemed necessary though and it was a really helpful starting point. I just almost fell out of my seat when I kept scrolling, and scrolling...

    Pretty much all of this.

I would also suggest picking up a copy of Baby Bargains. This was so helpful to us in researching products.

thanks for the tip L! We are thinking about putting our EDD in as our 36 week date for just this reason.

I feel so weird talking about all this stuff still. Like I don't belong in the discussion with the pregnant girls. I wonder when that feeling will go away?!

  • I haven't started researching specific products, but I have made a tentative list of all of the things we'll be needing.  I hope to start my registry online at around 16 weeks, then go into the store around 20 weeks.

Ditto ALL of this.  Also, the completion coupons sometimes don't go out at all or get "lost" in the mail.  So keep an eye out and call them if you don't get it when you expect.
