Help me get out of disposables!!!

B is probably between 8 and 9lbs right now.  I need something dependable for overnights and easy for dh to use. He's not a fan of pfs, which I tend to use during the day. Pfs just don't work well for us overnight, for some reason.
I'm thinking I'd like to get a few fitteds and/or sized diapers.  If possible, I'd like to keep the cost for each diaper below $15 (is that crazy hard to do?)  Please recommend a place to buy them also--- I tend to go to the same 2 sites repeatedly but would like more options.

Thanks ladies.  I  know I can depend on you to help me end my bought with disposables. (I will have to go buy some more if I don't figure out something for nighttime. I've used all the ones I had left over from my baby showers for T!!)

  • I use Motherease fitteds both day and night and have a few pockets for when we go out. I use the one size fitted at night and add an extra liner I made myself which is a couple layers of flannel, some microfibre and a top fleece layer to keep LO dry. I use a normal cover but am almost done my knit one. During the day I use the size 1 Motherease fitteds Sandy's. The bamboo ones are really nice and soft and around 15 each (in Canadian). I have a couple of the regular ones (unbleached terry) and am not as crazy about them, they seem rougher.

  • I use BG 3.0 pockets with both the regular and newborn insert. We've never had a problem with leaks. I've never used anything else so I can't help there. You could try a pocket or fitted and add hemp inserts, which would make the absorbancy great for overnite. I like Abbyslane.com because they offer free shipping. A few other sites I can think are, jilliansdrawers, pinstripes and polka dots, kellys closet, sunshine diapers.
  • I am looking at kawaii baby diapers, the price is amazing!
  • Are you anti-used diapers?  If not, I highly recommend searching Spots or DS for a Bububebe.  I think they fit small babies better than Goodmamas do, and they are awesome for nights.  You could also just buy a new one, but they are pricey.  I got my last B4 off Spots for $14 ppd.

Pretty much this. We have used a BG OS with 1 MF insert and 1 hemp insert since DD was about 6 weeks old (8-9 lbs). Never had a nighttime leak yet. We also use PFs during the day but I always have a few pockets stuffed and ready b/c DH just can't (won't?) get the hang of PFs.
