Underwear question

Does anyone have a child who removes their underwear before using the potty?

Did you teach this ability or did the child learn on their own?

And if so, how old was the child when they started removing underwear?

My son does it on his own, but also at non potty time too.  I'd say he started taking off his diaper and clothes around 20mos or so so the underwear was just another thing to take off.

DD does it on her own most of the time now. She PTd 2.5 weeks ago and by the end of the first week, would occasionally go to the potty on her own (and she always got her undies down fine). I'd say she potties independently 3/4 of the time now, but she does need help getting them back up sometimes.

DD does it all the time now -- she never used to. she is 2 years 7 months old. She learned it on her own.

Dd does it and she will be 2 in a couple of weeks. I put her fingers in the top of her underwear and helped her pull them down. I did this a coue if times before she got the hang of it. Also I would say " look at mommy's underwear, up and down"
