another basement flood update

It *might* be restored back to being usable by my due date.  *might*.

Currently, they've packed up my entire basement, to a warehouse that I have no access to, while I was at work. All of my baby items I had from DS are in unlabelled boxes stacked somewhere in a room in a warehouse that I'm really hoping is at least in my same town.

And, I don't even want to think about how high my power bill is going to be with all of the humidifiers and jet-engine fans going 24 hours/day for the last week.

  sorry for the whine.  I'm feeling quite sorry for myself today.

Oh, man, that stinks!  I hope you can get to all of your stuff, and that it isn't damaged.

Sorry about the baby items being MIA...

When my parents had a flood the insurance company, in addition to replacing the floor and paying for the restoration company to dry it out, paid for the "difference" in the water and power bills (the water that leaked essentially, and the power for all the restoration equipment. So make sure to ask the insurance guy when he does finally come out about that.

I am freaking out.  I was trying SO hard to be rational about the whole thing, but AAAHHHHHHH

I don't think you're being whiny. You're under a HUGE amount of stress and loads of uncertainty. I hope that things do work out well, and that insurance covers the differences in your bills!
