DS has had honey, not like a spoonful or anything but a ity bity tiny taste when I put it in my tea.
DH's brother is a bee keeper/ honey farmer, honey is a everyday thing for me and DH.

Cooked and processed honey is fine because cooking kills botulism which the danger with honey. Don't worry. He should be fine.
This. I give honey graham crackers and honey cheerios all the time. Pedi said its fine if its cooked. Its the straight from the jar honey that is the worry.
