Hi everyone!

 I was just wondering how long everyone waited to take a pregnancy test. I've had late periods before, but usually only 3 or 4 days at the most, and I'm 8 days late! I keep thinking about testing, but I don't want to get over anxious if it's just a fluke.

If you are truly 8 days late then by all means test.  However, I have a feeling you don't know that you're really late--you just think you are.  I'd be willing to bet all the times you've been "late" you just O'd later than normal.

It won't hurt anything to POAS.  If you get a BFN then I suggest lurking on the TTGP board, reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility, buying a BBT thermometer, and signing up on Fertility Friend (click on my ticker).

Test once a week until you get your period or a positive. If you get to 60 days without either one, call your Dr.

If you're not pregnant and want to be, Take Kdg's advie and chart your BBT via fertility friend.

i waited 6 days. i wanted to wait longer but i had quite a few other symptoms and had to know one way or another.  sure enough... positive!

I was very anxious and excited when we were trying, and tested anytime I was more than a day late, lol.

I waited about a week, thinking it was just late!  But happy easter to me, you're pregnant!!

I tested on the day my period was supposed to come, which I knew for certain because I charted my BBT.  If I didn't know when I ovulated, I would have waited for one day longer than my longest cycle.  HTH!
