Does this sound like DS is weaning himself?

A little back story: I went out of town this weekend sans DH and DS. He drank bottles and was great. I got home and the last two nights, he has had little to no interest in nursing at night before bed. I think he has some new teeth on the horizon since he  bit me a couple of times last night. I have pumped next to nothing the last couple of days (like 2 oz in 3-4 pumping sessions).

I am just wondering if this sounds like it's run it's course. If so, I am not ready to transition to milk just yet, so would you just keep trying to pump and supplement with formula? I am just wondering if it has to do with his teething too. Like maybe he'll came roaring back once those chompers break through.

In all honesty, if this is him self weaning, I think I'll be relieved. I was not looking forward to the weaning process.

I know our Bradley birth instructor talked about self weaning happening at 11 months, 18, and 24 months and that many babies will try to self wean in these periods. DS tried to self wean at 10/11 months much like your DS seems to be doing. I made him stick with it since I wasn't ready and I really wanted to make it a few more months. Now I wish I had just let him wean. I think if you are ready I would either introduce whole milk (if your pedi says okay), pump, or switch to formula for a while.

He could be.  I think Ashleyshuney had a similar experience in terms of refusing bedtime nursing.  Her son's thing turned out to be a nursing strike and he picked it back up I think, for a few more months.

If you want to keep going, keep pumping.  Otherwise the path seems easy and clear.
