Help!! K is biting my nip off!

And it hurts.  I have been biten three times today-and it is only 12:30 here.  It is a new record.  When she does it I remove her and say "OW!"  Is this all I can do?

Any suggestions, mommas?!

No advise. All I can say is that its ten times worse when they have teeth. My nipples have scabs from it

My pedi said to say OW and look hurt the first time, the second time pick her up and put her down by herself (in her crib or somewhere safe) and walk out of the room.  

G went through a bad biting phase around 8-10 months. it was AWFUL!

Can you use a nipple shield?  That might give you a bit of a barrier between you and the chomping but still allow little one to feed.  Just something I heard on a breastfeeding podcast, and I have no practical experience with breastfeeding so take it as you wish.  GL!

When Lil Miss did this repeatedly, I had DH take her away and give her a bottle. Definitely say OW! to let her know it hurts/ isn't okay to do.  Stop the feeding for a few minutes.  If it delays her eating, then the biting will have a negative consequence for her, and she will likely stop.

And sorry, becasue I know how bad it hurts!
