I can not believe it....she use to love it!!! I usually only give her one bottle a day so that she is comfortable with it for when my IL's or Mom watch her and she has always done great with it.....But for the past week now, she does not like it...She will drink it but what a challenge...first she makes a disgusting face as if it is the worst thing in the world, and than spits out...then she plays with it in her mouth for awhile, and gets fussy and then FINALLY will drink most of it!! What a little pain!! I do not know what has gotten into her and what I can do to fix it....
Thankfully she will eventually eat it and never spits up after, but still what a battle!!!
Re: G is not liking her bottle these days.....
It's not formula, it is the breast milk that I pumped.....
hmmm good idea....I will definitely try that..How old is your nephew? I was not sure what age I switch to different size nipple....G is only 2 months old!
I hear ya Mel. I can't get S to take a bottle period. We had a battle on Friday & the little 11 pounder beat me.....I caved after about a 25 minute battle.
Hmmmm, makes me wonder about trying a different size nipple now?! I guess I'll be heading to BRU.
LMAO, the little 11 pounder.....that is G too haha!! I have a size 2 nipple at home, I got a 4 pack of avent bottles and the 9oz bottles come with a size 2 and the 4oz came with a size 1, so tomorrow morning I will try the size 2 and report back lol.....
Yes, please report back!! She's taken a bottle from me 2x & a few from DH but I think I'm running into the "Hey, I know you have something else that I like even better than this!!"
We were having bottle issues too until I switched to a level 1 nipple from a preemie (this just occured the night after I went out with Laura and Rose). It could also be that I gave Mari the bottle when she just woke up, so she wasn't really too concerned of the method of her feed, just the fact that she was starving (did that make sense?).
Why don't you try to dream feed her with a bottle and see how it goes?

Yes, I use avent bottles, and they have numbers written on them..For example size 1 is for newborns, size 2 is slow flow....etc.. So based on their nipples, I should be using size 2 now! I had no idea until I researched this last night
Here is a link that shows it...
