So we are not 100% sure, but the nurse who did my u/s yesterday said she was pretty sure I am having a girl (I'm only 13 weeks so will not buy anything pink yet!)
That said, I can't keep myself from focusing on a name now, and we are pretty settled on Riley as a first name. It is a family name on both sides, plus I just like it
Decision #1 is how to spell it...I've seen it Riley, Rylie, Rylee and Ryleigh.
My middle name is Leigh, so at first I was leaning towards Ryleigh, but does that look like a made up name?
Decision #2 - middle name. Here is what we are liking so far:
Riley Grace
Riley Kate
Riley Cate
Riley Anne
Thoughts or suggestions on both "decisions"?
Thanks!
Re: Different spellings of Riley (girl)
Keep it simple, people's first inclination will be to spell it Riley, so go with that. It will prevent a ton of corrections for your child later. Especially if this is the family spelling of the family name.
As for mn I like Riley Anne the best
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.

I love Riley for a boy, not too crazy about it for a girl but that said, I prefer Riley spelling the best. Please no Rylee or Ryleigh.
I like Riley Cate/Kate the best of those choices.

I would stick with the Riley spelling. Unforunately Ryleigh would be frequently misspelled and looks a bit jumbled imo.
I like Riley Kate. Grace is cute but it is incredibly common right now. I would only use Grace if it holds special meaning for you. Anne is also nice but, to me, Riley Kate has a slightly nicer flow.
I like Riley Cate or Kate, whichever.
Grace is way overdone as a middle name and Anne is a little boring for me.
Spell it Riley.
Thanks everyone!
I'm aware that it is traditionally a boys name, so that is why I wanted a definite feminine middle name.
Each middle name is also from someone in our family, so all have some significance, it's just deciding which one we like best
You definitely helped me decide on the spelling!
This was our pick if LO had been a girl. I'd definitely go with Riley. Rylie and Rylee seem cute for a little girl but don't seem to age very well IMO - wouldn't look as good on a resume. Ryleigh just doesn't look right to me, I can't explain why.
I like any of the middle names you suggested, I guess it would depend on how it flowed with your last name. We have a one syllable last name so I didn't like one syllable middle names for us. We were thinking Riley Erin or Riley Alexa for us.

Yes, please don't get your heart set on a girl if you are only 13 weeks...that being said...
I like the name Riley. I would also spell it Riley out of your options...so it won't be misspelled as often. I like the combinations of Riley Anne or Riley Kate.
The only thing about the name Riley that bothers me is that I can't picture an 80 year old woman with that name. lol. But, if that doesn't bother you then I would say go for it.
I much prefer Riley spelled Reilly - think it looks much more feminine, and not 'tryndee' like Rylee/Ryleigh, etc.
Reilly Kate
Reilly Grace
Reilly Anne
