I can't believe how far down my name is on the list.

John has a line across his nose, between the eyes that is very defined when he gets mad.  She had it since she came out of the womb.  It'ss so cute!

Update: Nothing yet. I'm CD 57 and still no period. I've been spotting for the last 5 days, so hopefully I get it today and then on to Cycle #7.

What is one feature of DH?s that you are hoping for your LO to have? If we get to have babies I really hope they have his nose. DH has the most perfect nose...mine, not so much.

Any news or updates?  Kellen had his 2 month check-up last week.  He weighs 11lbs 13oz (50%) and is 22 1/2in long (35%).  His doctor was pleased with his steady rate of growth.  He is consistently sleeping 7 hours at night now, which is ahhhmazing! 

For the mommies?what was the first feature of DH?s that you noticed on your LO?  I think Kellen looks just like Josh---I don't see any of me in him yet.    I think the feature that stands out the most is his eyes---definitely his daddy's!

I have an appt with the MW today at 2:00 so hopefully I'll have some good news this afternoon.

 

All of a sudden, I'm feeling a little weird.  I don't quite no how to describe it, but last night I just had to lay down without even finishing my dinner and I'm pale as a ghost.  DH thinks that the baby is trying to get me ready for labor by forcing me to rest.

 

I did what I thought was my last BRU run this weekend to get little things like more bottles, extra nipples, bib cloths, rectal thermometer, another box of diapers, humidifier, etc.  I also somehow ended up with a Moby wrap in my cart thanks to you girls.  The changing table that I ordered last week was in so I also picked that up.  I put the changing table together, got it all stocked and organizer, did one last load of baby laundry, hung the wall hangings, finished up my hospital bag (with the exception of things like the phone chargers, etc.) and reorganized the closet in the baby's room to fit everything better.  I just have to hang the curtains and valance and I'm done.  We're just waiting now.  I also have to finish my thank you notes.  I really hate writing them out!

 

For the not-yet-mommies, what is one feature of DH?s that you are hoping for your LO to have?

I'm hoping for the baby to have DH's dimples.  I also wouldn't mind his blue eyes, but I've always been a sucker for dimples!

Every person I talk to says that Austin is a spitting image of DH. I don't really see it except in this picture. What do you think???

I'm still hanging in here.  Hoping to have this baby before the weekend but I'm starting to feel like that's not going to happen.  I was up to 3cm Saturday and my next appointment is Thursday.  I'm still on the fence about the whole induction situation.  I feel like my Dr. is just trying to push induction because it will be easier for him, and I'm not sure that I really need to be induced.  But at the same time if my BP is causing problems then I would rather be safe than sorry.  I think if he leaves it up to me, like he did last week, I'll say no again.  But if he insists that it's necessary I'll go along with it.

I would love it if G were a little mini-DH.  In the 4d ultrasound pictures he looks just like me as a baby.  I'm hoping he grows to look more like DH.

Karter is smiling a lot more and loving any and all attention she can get.  She wants to be apart of the crowd and check everything out before she jumps all the way in. 

She's been biting me when she's eating.  And I am freaked out that she is teething.  She is also randomly fussy and she has been waking up in the night more often.  I got my teeth super early (almost 4 months old) and Timm did as well (5 months) so I know it is coming.  I don't know how to handle it when she bites me.  It hurts like crazy.  I just pull away and say ouch. 

The first thing I noticed about her was that she has Timm's eyelashes.  They are really long, dark, full, lucisous lashes.  I love them.

Any news or updates? Nothing new here, except my regular BH contractions have pretty much stopped so that's not exciting. I know I still have a couple weeks to go but I am so ready. My hips and back are getting really sore and its so hard to get out of chairs or the bed. But I have started working from home 2 days a week so that is a nice change of pace.

 

For the not-yet-mommies, what is one feature of DH?s that you are hoping for your LO to have? I hope our little man has his daddy's smile.

Aww that totally made my day I think there have been less than a handful of people that tell me that Austin resembles me.

B has started grabbing things and putting them in her mouth -like Sophie . I noticed on her US that she had her daddys nose. She has my eyes and beyond that I don't know which one of us she looks like.

News/Updates:
S. is developing like crazy! He can now recognize us and really smile to let us know he is enjoying something. He can roll over to his side, and turn his head from side to side when its tummy time. He also stops crying when we put his bib on when the bottle is ready, so he also "knows" when he's getting what he was asking for :-)

DH finished painting the nursery last weekend and I registered (still have to fill in some peices, but the big stuff is on there) so we are cruising right along.  I am exhausted lately and I am not sure why - I thought the exhaustion was supposed to hit in the first tri (never did) and third tri.

I hope our little one has DH's beautiful green eyes and his outgoing, funny personality.

I am 4DPO and yesterday felt like pooh. I know its too early for anything but I was nauseated most of the day had heartburn peeing more than usual and hungry 1-2 hours after eating a meal and crampy.  So far today I'm just hungry.  My temp has is still elevated today.  I test next week so hopefully I'll have some good news.

 As far as what I'd like a baby to have of DH's ... definately his metabolism and dimples :-)

Two big doctor's appointments this week: my first OB visit tomorrow and Caroline's 1 year is Thursday.  We had her birthday party this past weekend and her birthday is tomorrow.  Caroline will be 1!!! Can you believe it?!?!

I think Caroline's eyes are the exact shape as DH.  Other than that, I think she mostly looks like me.  Lots of people say she is a mini me.

Addison is 14 months old today!  She is officially bottle free!!  She has 8 teeth and saying approx 12 words.  She also started putting two word phrases together-"Who's that" and "What's that"  She is so much fun and full of personality.

She has DH's eyes and his determined personality.

Got my blood work results and everything looks good. We have an u/s scheduled a week from Friday and I am so excited to see the bean. It will be so hard not knowing the sex of the bean, but I know DH is happy that I'm on board not knowing until Dec.

I really hope bean gets DH's eyes - they are blue and he is the only one in his family besides his grandfather that has them. Oh, and his dark skin that can take the sun without getting burned in 2.5 seconds from standing outside.

My due date has changed.  Used to be July 23rd now is July 17th.  Have appt today and hoping for some progress.  Last week I was 1cm dilated and 70% effaced and Tyler had dropped to -1.

I hope he has his daddy's skin and hair.  DH is spanish with olive skin and black hair.  Also hope he has his daddy's personality - DH is sooo laid back and calm.  Not at all like me - lol!

Have been fighting with the internet all week.  Between that and my mom coming in last weekend and my in-laws leaving today, I haven't had much of a chance to do anything, much less online.

You all read about my awful internal yesterday, I'm hoping baby will engage in my pelvis soon. I also appear to be losing my mucus plug but that doesn't really mean anything. It wasn't bloody at all.

I hope LO gets Daddy's tall skinny frame and lips. And if s/he doesn't have light hair like me, Daddy's hair is pretty awesome.

I posted on Friday about my dr. appt, I told the owner about it yesterday so I got a lecture (he has high blood pressure) and told I am pretty much not allowed to do anything for my last shifts except be there.  If I feel not well, I am to go home right away and the rest of the staff is to cover for me.  I was to be done Thursday, but I am working the weekend cause of some unforeseen crap that happened.  Oh well.  Sunday is my last day, which makes me, my DH and my dr. happy.

I start ob clinic on Tuesday.  I have my last massage tomorrow.  I see the baby on Friday again.

I really hope that the baby has DH calm nature.

I forgot to mention I am super uncomfy.  The car seat was installed by my aunt and uncle (my aunt used to do the clinics for people), set up the bedroom downstairs, and now have our pack and play with the bassinet and change table set up down here for when we are downstairs, and if I have a c-section we can stay down here.

I just posted about my annual exam - dr. doesn't think I should have much trouble making a baby, and I like that thought

I hope any future babies will have DH's silly open mouthed smile he has for when he's really having fun, as well as his laid-back temperament.

I just got back from the Dr.  I can't believe he has me going every week already!  I passed my 3-hour GD test!  Yay!  I also lost 3 lbs in the last week.  Not sure why.  I didn't change my eating habits and gained 9 lbs in 3 weeks and I've eaten chocolate shakes everyday this last week and lost 3 lbs.  Whatever! 

Rowen looks EXACTLY like me!  He is seriously a mini male me!  The only thing he got from his daddy, besides his gender, are his flat feet!  And he has my mom's skin tone.  He can tan like you wouldn't believe, and Chris and I both burn terribly.  I hope this one at least has 1 characteristic from her father!  I would love her to have his curly hair or blue eyes.

When we have a LO, I'd like them to have DH's eyes and math/business skills.

On a side note, I'd like LO not to have any of the video game obsessions - LOL.

Just walking around the pool for the past two days for an hour has definitely been doing something.  I got out today and felt extremely crampy to the point I am debating getting in the car.  Right now I am just laying on my side to see if I can get it to stop.  Besides that current drama, I go to my midwife again on Thursday.  I will be sure to update everyone.

 As for features of the little one, I am really hoping for light hair and blue eyes just like Josh, but the chances of that with my dark hair and eyes are slim to none.  However, a girl can wish.

She has his cheeks, dimples, hands and feet...The first thing I noticed on her was her dimple in her chin....again just like DH...

No updates since my appt last Friday.  We pretty much finished everything for baby's arrival over the weekend.  Everything is assembled, the room is done, carseat is installed.  I still have to pack the hospital bag, which I'm hoping to do tonight. 

I hope that LO has DH's laid back personality & sense of humor.  As far as a physical feature, I would pick his blue eyes.

Any news or updates? I have my next appt. on Friday; she'll do the Group B Strep Test or whatever it's called and the internal. Today I was at a Harlem motherhood empowerment conference. It was great to meet so many mommies and mommies-to-be! I didn't believe the natural childbirth community was so vibrant in Harlem. It was really uplifting.

 

For the not-yet-mommies, what is one feature of DH?s that you are hoping for your LO to have? I hope she has some of her dad's height (he's 6'8")

I think I'm starting to get morning sickness.  I'm not throwing up or anything, but, for the past few days, I've woken up not feeling well.  I just feel "off".  We'll see if if gets any worse. 

Additionally, we booked our trip to Puerta Vallarta today.  Yay!!!!

As for features, Brett and I have the exact same colored eyes, so, I know our baby will likely have beautiful blue eyes.  I also hope baby gets his/her daddy's athletic ability.  I hated growing up as a klutz.  I also hope he/she gets Brett's confidence.  He is so self assured.

I think Landon has every feature of DH, blonder hair, blue eyes, his feet even look like DH, which is all fine with me!
