Teeth question...

Yes, DD is almost 8 months and has 0 teeth. But I can feel two really sharp edges when I rub my finger along her gums. So my question is, about how many days should it take from the point where you can feel the sharp edges to the point where they actually break through the gums?

it can be days, weeks or longer depending on the child. Typically though I think it's a few days to a week

DS has had his two bottom teeth visible under the gum since he was 3 months old, they still have yet to break through the skin.

I thought I felt DD's 2 bottom teeth about 3 days before the first one broke through.  Then about 5 days later the 2nd one broke through.

This is probably one of those "every baby's different" sort of things, but I felt G's first tooth like you were describing on a Sunday and it was visible to me the following Wednesday. (They are really hard to see when they first come in, because they're sort of clear-ish.)

DS was teething from 3 mos but nothing until almost 6. His came through shortly after a blister-looking spot appeared on his gums and I could see a white line in the gum.
