Never did make it to Costco

I hit a huge piece of plywood  that was sailing down the freeway when we were almost there. It broke my headlight and side mirror but no other damage and we're all fine. Wouldn't you know, DD slept through the whole thing! I'm still on the phone with insurance.

I did, however, get quite the talking-to from DPS because I pulled over immediately, and since I was in the left lane I pulled onto the left side of the road. WRONG. Right side only.

I will say, times like these make me very grateful to have a cop for a DH. It was nice to be able to call him first and have him call DPS for me, and then show up at the scene and deal with the other cops who were filling out the police report.

Now to call the car repair place.
