Chad?

What do you think of Chad?

The only "longer" versions of it are Chadwick and Chadburn, and we're not feeling those.  Can Chad stand by itself as a first name?

I, personally, think Chad can stand alone and it's on my long list for boys.

Chad by itself is SO much better than Chadwick or Chadburn.

It is NMS, but I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It is a fine, solid name, and I think it is fine without a fancy ending. When I was 10 I had a HUGE crush on a Chad.

DH's name is Chad and it fits... Chad is somewhat popular around here... not so much you get tired of hearing it but I know a few Chad's... I really like it but I am 100% against the "Jr" fad so its not on our list... but we like Chaz too...

I like this name - it's not super popular (in the 500s), easy to spell, can't botch the pronunciation, and it's not made up. It took a decade, but I doubt you'll hear any hanging chad jokes on the playground.

This is on my list of name I really, really don't like (along with Todd, Stacy, Tracy, and Roger). Never mind the whole "hanging chad" fiasco.

Of course...Chad is great!  My brother is a "chad"  he's 37 but never knew anyone else growing up.

there are a couple of other longer options but i don't like them any better. if you like chad, i'd just go with that and a longer middle name.

I've known a Chad and a Chadwick.  The name Chadwick sounds phony to me, but Chad sounds fine.  There's nothing wrong with a short first name!

Totally respectable name, but it is just a 70's/80s name to me. It's kind of like Jennifer, Heather, Jason, etc... Perfectly fine names, they just seem weird for a baby in 2010 to me. Just my opinion! :-)
