How much is an IUI oop at your clinic?  It's going to be $600- $700 and I want to see if its comparable to others.

We are doing a diui out of pocket.  Our iui cost $190 and our donor semen was $220 for a vial.

My clinic breaks it down like this:

$100 for the sperm wash

$175 for the actual IUI

$160 for each ultrasound/monitoring appointment. I never had bloodwork for my IUIs. I only ever had one monitoring appointment per cycle, unless it was injectables, and then I had 2.

Grand total: $435 for a clomid cycle + your meds (clomid is super cheap)

$595 for an injectable cycle + your meds (Follistim is super-expensive!)

What all does that amount include?  If it is just the IUI/ sperm wash, then it seems a bit high to me.  But, if that includes monitoring then it seems normal.

For a clomid/ IUI cycle we spend about $800 - $1,000 on everything - monitoring, blood work, sperm prep, IUI, office visits, etc.

For an inject/ IUI cycle we probably spent $1,500 - $1,700 due to an increase in my monitoring and blood work.

For an unmedicated cycle (which includes day 3 bw and u/s, monitoring u/s, ovidrel, and actual IUI) it's about $900 at my place. Meds are more and potentially more monitoring.

The actual IUI at my clinic is $375. But that doesn't include any monitoring or meds. For us (and I do have some med coverage and just co-pays for my monitoring appts), an IUI cycle costs about $900 total (on Follistim).

I am 100% OOP. JUST the IUI is 800.

THEN, u/s and HcG are extra.

For u/s, Hcg, and IUI is 1300.

Clomid is extra. . . BAH!

My clinic doesn't break it down, they estimate it will be $1200 for the cycle.  This includes 3 u/s, 3 o/v, sperm wash, IUI, betas, u/s if pg and clomid, trigger and progesterone supps.

My IUI's are $250, not including meds and monitoring appointments.

Cost for the IUI at my clinic is $200 & $80 for sperm washing. The monitoring portion is covered by insurance whereas the meds are not.
