I saw on Abi's babyfood clicky poll that you don't make peas because of a consistency issue. Just curious, are they too thin? FWIW, I had issues with fresh b/c the skins were pretty tough. When I did frozen that steam in the bag in the microwave, they turned out great! DD does like them a bit thicker, though - more like applesacue.

I had issues with the skins, and couldn't seem to get the puree smooth enough for Georgia's liking.
She seems to prefer thicker stuff too, so that's not a problem.
That was my issue with fresh, too. If you're not opposed to frozen, that's what I had really good luck with! The skins are partially broken down b/c of the freezing process (I'm a Food Science nerd), and once they were cooked, the blended really well. I bought the offbrand steam bag for $.99, and I got 16 1oz cubes out of it. I HTH!!
