1 - Nicholas is turning one on Wednesday and I can't believe my baby is no longer going to be a "baby" anymore ![]()
2 - and I'm having a hard time adjusting to the fact that in about 3 months, I will no longer be able to enjoy him as my "one" child anymore. ![]()

I know i'll get over it but I was refelcting back on when we brought him home from the hospital, it seems just like yesterday .... (sigh)
PS: As i'm writing this, he decides that shampooing the carpet in our office is the thing to do today. He went into the bathroom, took the J&J shampoo bottle from the side of the tub and brought it into the office, opened the top and let it all pour out! You just have to laugh... LOL
Re: Bittersweet ....
Aww....that is bittersweet! But you have some very exciting times ahead of you for sure!
Did you decide what to do about his first haircut? He has such a beautiful head of hair!
Awww! *hugs*
Also, the shampoo thing is awesome. He's such a scamp.
LOL at shampooing the rug. Guess he thought it needed some sprucing up
He'll always be your first baby though. He'll always be special that way. Hugs.
Oh yeah, after this weekend, he's getting a haircut! Some stupid woman told us how cute our little girl was and my husband (getting more and more frustrated about these comments) said "Thank you, but it's a boy. Can't you tell he's a boy with the blue football outfit he's got on?" she responded by saying that he must have been switched at teh hospital because he sure looked like a girl !!!! of course I had to hold my DH back! geeeesh
So anyways I found this place called Cartoon Cuts and they look really cute, i'm going to check it out today and make an apt for next week. I'll post pics of the before and after.

DD's bday is one day before N's, and I totally understand about losing your "baby".
