MIL rocks!

DH had mentioned a while ago that MIL would buy the nursery furniture.  However, she really wanted to get some things from our BBB registry instead.  Last night, she ordered the stroller, the car seat adaptor, the activity gym, the high chair, and the PNP, and she's also getting us the infant car seat today at the store since it wasn't available online.  WOW!  That pretty much took care of most of the higher-priced essentials and we are sooooooo grateful for it.

As for the nursery furniture, it actually worked out better this way.  My mom purchased the Babyletto Mercer crib for us (the crib from DH's boss turned out to be a hand-me down from several years ago so we're afraid to use it with all the recent recalls).  We got one of the expedit bookcases from Ikea with baskets for shelving/storage.  So, all we really need now is a dresser and a glider/rocker.  We're considering getting the Hemnes dresser (also from Ikea) and maybe just adding the glider to the registry.

Pls post pics of your nursery, we are thinking of buying a few items from ikea as well. What glider do you have in mind?
