should I be concerned?

DS only gained a few ounces this month.  He was 16 lbs 11 oz at 7 months and today at 8 months he is only 17 lbs 2 ounces.  Should I make an appointment? He only started crawling a few days ago, so I don't think that's it. Is this something to be worried about?

    I have no idea; I would call the pedi but I am super paranoid.  My sweet girl gains about 2 lbs every 2 months but that has got to slow down when she gets bigger right.  I am sorry, I am not much help.

    As long as your DS is eating I wouldn't be concerned, of course that is always challenging when it's your baby.  My DS went 3 weeks without gaining a single ounce but the MD's weren't worried.  Baby's really do seem to grow in spurts, he'll likely start gaining a bit faster again soon but 7 ounces in a month is about normal because they normally really slow in their gain by that age.  GL!

    Were both of those weights taken at the drs office? If so, the dr would see the weight and notice if there was a problem. Also if they were taken on different scales there could be a slight difference. Either way, I don't think I would worry. If he seems to be eating less or not feeling well/acting like himself then maybe call the pedi.
