NBR I have course/greasy patch of hair for about a week. WTF?

I haven't switched shampoo or conditioner. The hair to the left of my part from my forehead about 3 inches back and 2 inches wide is suddenly coarse and weird feeling.  It's been going on for about a week.It almost feels like there's product in it, but I don't use hair product at all. I even tried scrubbing with LOTS of shampoo today several times and it didn't help.

What the heck could be causing this? It's super irritating. Dr. Google tells me it might be hormonal, but what the heck does that even mean? I would feel like an idiot calling any doctor and explaining whats going on.

    Maybe you're having a girl... there's some OWTs that having a girl can make your hair really dry Wink

    Do you use a flat iron?  I have a patch like that by my left ear - I think I may have singed it with my flat iron though.

    I had that either when I was pregnant or right after..can't remember right now.  I had to switch shampoos and conditoners and that helped.  I really think it was during pregnancy...it's normal now, but was gross then. Good Luck!
