Crawling before Sitting up??

Anyone have a baby that did this??  I really think DS may figure out how to crawl before he can sit unassisted!

Good to know....it seems like he wants to be able to move around on his tummy - he reaches and turns his head really well while be on his tummy and will straighten his arms really well but he just doesnt seem like he wants to sit up.  He'll do okay if we sit with him but it doesnt take long for him to face plant or fall to either side.

My DS did this. I was shocked since my first kid sat up and then months later crawled.  Kids are funny like that.

Mine did. He started crawling about 3 weeks ago and started to sit unassisted about 4 days ago (he had been tripod-ing for about 3 weeks)

I was logging on to ask this same question!!  DS shows way more signs of crawling at any second then of sitting up on his own. 

Glad to know he's not alone!

Aidan army crawled long before learning to sit up unassisted. Now he does both, but he still onl sits unassisted for a few minutes at a time. He'd rather flop onto his belly and haul butt army crawling.

DD can army crawl like crazy and is on the verge on going on her knees completely.

She cant sit unassisted for longer than a few seconds.

DS isn't doing either yet, but is defintely showing more interest in crawling so far than sitting on his own. He can sit for a few seconds or so if I 'tripod' him, hehe...but he's very anxious to get to his belly on his play mat and once on his belly, the bum goes up and he rocks back and forth on his arms or does an inch-worm type scoot on his belly.

DS was sitting unassisted at 5 months, crawling just before 7 and did not push up to sitting till 2 weeks later, but the day after he started pulling up... it is like I blinked and he became this moble machine!
